What is it?
Hyperhydrosis is a medical condition that causes extreme perspiration. It is a condition that can be episodic or continuous, and is controlled by the sympathetic nervous system. The main types of hyperhydrosis are: palmer hyperhydrosis, axillary hyperhydrosis and plantar hyperhydrosis.
Plantar Hyperhydrosis refers to excessive sweating of the feet. It is a known cause of foot odor and athlete’s feet. Many patients with Hyperhydrosis are self-conscious and may avoid social contact when it involves removing footwear.
